These frequently asked questions (FAQ''s) are direct from our consumer relations specialists: I bought a product not too long ago and it''s not working right. What can I do? During the first 30 days of ownership, we will offer you a refund or exchange on most* products. After thirty days, since most early repair needs are covered under manufacturer''s warranty, simply bring your product to the nearest store hitachi or to one of our service centers for servicing.* Defective computer equipment may be returned within 14 days for exchange or refund and defective, opened software and music products may be exchanged for the same title within 30 days. See our In-Store Policies section for complete details. Another dealer in town has a lower price on an item you carry, but is out of stock at the moment. Why won''t you honor their price? In order for us to match a lower price, the item must be immediately available from the competitor. If not, we must assume that the offer is not legitimate. Though rare, some retailers promote low prices on out-of-stock items to practice bait-and-switch tactics or to harm the competition. Don''t worry. If you purchase from us and within thirty days the competitor receives the item and still sells it for less, we''ll match the price! For every product we sell, we''ll match any advertised price from a local store stocking the same new item, available for sale with a manufacturer''s warranty and in a factory-sealed box. Even after your purchase, if you find a lower advertised price within 30 days, including our own sale prices, we''ll refund the difference.
